Creative DJ setup. Create even more complex patterns by connecting the TORAIZ AS-1 synth to the TORAIZ SP-16 live sampler via MIDI. Or take it to the booth and connect the sampler to your DJ setup via Pro DJ Link: The CDJs play the track, the TORAIZ SP-16 adds loops and one-shots, and the TORAIZ AS-1 generates unique analogue leads.

· Sequential Circuits Pro One vs Pioneer Toraiz AS1 Finally got around to doing a proper comparison of these 2. Since working on the factory bank for the Toraiz I was a massive fan especially because it sounded so much like my pro one.
The TORAIZ AS-1’s keyboard is an electrostatic capacitive touch pad. You can adjust the keyboard touch sensitivity to a player using this setting. Depending on the setting, however, the keyboard may not respond properly and intermittent sound such as noise may be produced.
· The AS-1 restarts sequencer playback when it receives a patch change, either from the quick access keys, the preset encoder, or MIDI. Using DSI's Tempest as a model, the missing feature is Beat Quantize. Currently the AS-1 has no quantization, this is like launching a clip in Live with clip launch quantization set to NONE.
· The AS-1 editor is developed by Soundtower based on Pioneer DJ’s specifications. It offers access to every element of the AS-1’s sound engine from a single window. There’s also a sequencer editor, which lets you input and edit sequences on a piano roll-style grid - considerably faster than inputting them step-by-step.
